star Arie Luyendyk Jr. will be keeping his distance from reality TV. Unlike other stars from the reality dating franchise who extended their 15 minutes of fame by competing for the mirror ball trophy, the 36-year-old race car driver reveals that he has no plans to join Dancing with the Stars
asked Arie if he would do Dancing with the Stars now that The Bachelor is over, he emphasized, "No, I think I made it pretty clear that I'm not going to do Dancing with the Stars."
"I'm pretty confident that my TV career is probably coming to an end, just because we want to settle down... I want to focus on her and our relationship."
Arie's decision to not follow of the footsteps of Jake Pavelka, Sean Lowe, Chris Soules and Nick Viall, who all went from The Bachelor
, doesn't really come as a surprise considering the backlash he earned after the season 22 finale
. In January
, he also revealed that he's "not seeking to do anything here in L.A." and would just like to go back to normal life.
As for Arie's immediate plans with fiancee Lauren Burnham, the Bachelor couple is planning to flee the country for some much needed rest and relaxation.
"We're going to Iceland and then Barcelona, so we're gonna take a little vacation," he said. Then, we're going to go to Virginia Beach and pack up her stuff and drive across the country [to Arizona]."
"We need this time away from all the distractions and stress, so it'll be fun," Lauren added.
"We definitely want to get married first, but we have talked about starting a family."
On social media, Arie posted a series of photos, confirming that they have in fact left the country.
