Big casting news continues to break in the world of TV. Arrow has announced that another fan-favorite character is returning for season 6. The Handmaid's Tale, The Originals and How to Get Away with Murder have added potentially game-changing new characters for their upcoming seasons. The star power of Big Little Lies is getting even more ridiculous for season 2, while NCIS adds another recognizable face as a guest star. Lastly, Once Upon a Time has cast the other half of its newest romance.

Katrina Law Is Coming Back to Arrow for an 'Unforgettable' Episode

Roy Harper won't be the only former Team Arrow ally to pop up for a major story in season 6. Variety reports that Katrina Law, who plays Nyssa al Ghul, will be returning for a monumental Arrow episode. In a joint statement, Arrow's co-showrunners Wendy Mericle and Marc Guggenheim explained, "In an unforgettable episode that will change Arrow forever, Katrina Law returns as the Daughter of the Demon, Nyssa al Ghul. Nyssa comes to Star City to warn of an impending danger that will threaten everything we know and love."

No other details were given. However, Law will make her appearance in episode 16 of season 6, entitled "The Thanatos Guild." This will immediately follow Colton Haynes' return as Roy as his multi-episode arc begins in episode 15 of season 6.

Cherry Jones Joins The Handmaid's Tale

The Handmaid's Tale has cast a charcter with a huge impact for season 2. Cherry Jones, known for her roles in 24 and American Crime, has been cast as Offred's mother, Holly. According to The Hollwood Reporter, which broke the news, it's unclear how long exactly Jones' role will last as The Handmaid's Tale is in the middle of production. However, Jones will definitely appear in episode 3.

Holly was a figure who was mentioned throughout season 1 but never seen. It was revealed that she ended up in The Colonies, a setting that will play a huge role in the second season of the dystopian series. So it's possible that Holly will appear both in present day and flashback sequences.

Big Little Lies Adds Meryl Streep to Season 2

Big Little Lies was already a TV series with a huge amount of star power. Now the cast's Hollywood influence is set to get even stronger. TVLine reports that three-time Oscar winner Meryl Streep has joined the series alongside Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Laura Dern and other big names.

Streep is set to play the mother of Alexander Skarsgard's deceased character Perry. She'll arrive in town worried about her grandchildren and searching for answers.

The Originals Adds Another New Vampire

The Originals might be wrapping up its series but the show is adding an awful lot of new characters. On top of the news that Jaime Murray has joined the show as a vampire with a connection to Elijah another creature of the night will make their first appearance in the final season.

TVLine reports that Nadine Lewington, who appeared on Originals showrunner Julie Plec's series Containment, has been cast in a recurring role as Greta, "a calculating and charismatic vampire." She was turned in the 1920s and '30s and now lives in present day New Orleans but she's a woman with "deep principles."

How to Get Away with Murder Casts Lolita Davidovich in Mysterious Role

The world of How to Get Away with Murder is going to get a little bit bigger. Deadline reports that Lolita Davidovich has been cast in an undisclosed recurring role in season 4. Almost nothing is known about the role of the actress, who has starred Law & Order True Crime and Shades of Blue, among other series. Davidovich's character will first appear in the back half of the current season.

Once Upon a Time Casts Zelena's New Fiance

Once Upon a Time fans can now put a face (and name) to a very important character that was recently mentioned. EW reports that Kip Pardue has been cast as the fiance of Zelena AKA the Wicked Witch. It was revealed in the winter finale of Once Upon a Time that while in her cursed persona, Zelena got engaged to a man who is totally unaware of her real fairy tale nature.

This man, named Chad, will first appear in the 150th episode of the series. Pardue's character is said to be "a clever, romantic guy who's no stranger to grand gestures." Hopefully this engagement will turn out better than the last time a Once Upon a Time character was involved with a seemingly normal person.

Drew Carey to Play Murder Suspect on NCIS

Comedian Drew Carey has had a home on CBS for quite a while as the host of The Price Is Right. Deadline reports that Carey is getting back into acting (again) with a role on one of CBS' flagship series. Carey is set to appear in an upcoming episode of NCIS as a major guest star.

Drew Carey will play a retired marine sergeant, John Ross, in an episode slated for late March, entitled "Handle with Care." Carey's character works shipping care packages to servicemen and women. However, he becomes the lead suspect in a murder case when one of his packages is discovered to be laced with cyanide. This is Carey's biggest acting role since appearing as a fictionalized version of himself on CBS' Scorpion
