Broadway Legend Joins Supergirl Cast

Tony award winner Betty Buckley has graced the small screen on television favorites such as Eight Is Enough, Oz and more recently Pretty Little Liars and The Leftovers. Now the legend will take on the role of Samantha Arias' mother Patricia on The CW's Supergirl. The network explains that mother and daughter have been estranged since Patricia gave birth at a young age. Patricia's secrets about her daughter's villainous Reign persona may be one reason behind this "complex" relationship. Look for Buckley's first appearance in episode 7 of the upcoming season 3.

Supergirl premieres October 9 on The CW at 8/7c.

Chic Cooper Makes His Riverdale Debut

In the season 1 finale, Betty learned of her long-lost brother. Her mother got pregnant in high school with a son, but gave him up for adoption. Now Riverdale is currently casting the role as a recurring guest star throughout the season. What could this mean for Betty? Why is Chic entering the scene now? What other mysteries and questions could his presence unearth? Viewers, and Betty, will meet her brother halfway through season 2.

Riverdale season 2 premieres October 11 on the The CW at 8/7c.

Supernatural Spin-Off Casts Yadira Guevara-Prip

Set in the same world as Supernatural, Wayward Sisters will follow the lives of four troubled women who have all been orphaned thanks to supernatural tragedies. Guevara-Prip joins the cast as Kaia, a young woman who can walk between the worlds of the living and the dead in her dreams. She rounds out Love Newton as Claire Novak, Clark Backo as Patience Turner and Katherine Ramdeen as Alex Jones. The show hasn't yet been greenlighted for its own premiere date, but fans can look forward to a backdoor pilot during episode 10 of the upcoming season of Supernatural.

Supernatural season 13 premieres October 12 at 8/7c on The CW.

Max Greenfield Joins a List of Will & Grace Guest Stars

If the return of Will & Grace wasn't exciting enough, the list of guest stars this season is nothing less than impressive. Max Greenfield will join fan-favorite and Karen's frenemy Beverley Leslie, played by Leslie Jordan, on the same upcoming episode. The star-studded guest list also includes Jane Lynch, Andrew Rannells, Kyle Bornheimer, Harry Connick Jr., Bobby Cannavale and Minnie Driver.

Will & Grace airs Thursdays on NBC at 9/8c.

Chicago P.D. Gets Help From Jessica Jones Actor

Wil Traval, who you might have seen on Once Upon a Time, Arrow and Jessica Jones, is coming to aid Detective Hailey Upton on Chicago P.D. His character Sergeant McGrady represents the Narcotics team and lends a helping hand during a case. In the show's infamous personal plot twist fashion, viewers will come to find that McGrady and Upton share a past. No word yet on the details of their history. This could possibly answer questions about Upton or raise even more mystery. Traval's episode will air in early November.

Chicago P.D. airs Wednesdays on NBC at 10/9c.

Pretty Little Liars Star Shay Mitchell Joins ABC

Freeform struck gold with their adaptation of Sara Shepard's bestselling series Pretty Little Liars, starring Shay Mitchell. Now the creator I. Marlene King and Mitchell look forward to teaming up with ABC on another Shepard franchise, The Heiresses. This is not to be confused with the PLL spinoff, although the plot is quite similar. A well-off family suffers great loss due to a deadly crash which drove cousins apart. A new tragedy brings them together as they work to solve the mystery before they meet their own demises. Perhaps familiar, but undoubtedly a successful team with lots of potential for more great television.

The Heiresses is currently under production by ABC.

Matt Bomer Makes Directorial Debut with American Crime Story: Versace

Matt Bomer has worked with Ryan Murphy on numerous projects such as Glee and American Horror Story: Freak Show and Hotel, but never have they worked together in this capacity. Usually, Bomer is seen on screen, taking direction. This time around, he'll be calling the shots as the director of episode 8 of the anticipated tale of mystery surrounding fashion mogul Gianni Versace's 1997 death. Bomer will join Glee alum Darren Criss, who portrays serial killer Andrew Cunanan.

American Crime Story: Versace will premiere January 2018 on FX.
