Nick Viall is making a big step in his career– shifting from reality TV star to actor. The Bachelor season 21 star is working on a movie with The Young and the Restless actor Kristoff St. John, who teased about their upcoming project on social media.

“Yours truly and my main man “The Bachelor’s” Nick Viall, working on a movie together. Details on the movie to be revealed soon. #thebachelor @nickviall#nickviall #nickviall? #thebachelorette,” the soap actor captioned a photo of himself with Viall, who is wearing a pilot outfit.

Though St. John didn’t mention the name of the project, a quick IMDB search reveals that he and Viall are listed as part of the cast of the movie A Christmas Cruise, which also features actress Vivica A. Fox.

Viall’s transition to the big screen doesn’t really come as a surprise considering he enrolled in a 4-6 week intensive acting course in Los Angeles. However, it does somewhat contradict his previous statement about keeping some distance from the limelight– although to be fair, he did specify that he was no longer interested in doing reality TV at the time.

“I have zero plans to do reality TV,” Viall revealed in May. “I’m certainly done with anything Bachelor-related, but I’m very thankful for my time.”

Viall first competed for Andi Dorfman on The Bachelorette season 10. He next competed for Kaitlyn Bristowe on The Bachelorette season 11, where he became the runner-up yet again. He made his third attempt to find love on reality TV by joining the third season of Bachelor in Paradise but ended up single by the end of the season.  In 2017, he became the leading man of The Bachelor season 21, where he got engaged to Vanessa Grimaldi. After his Bachelor stint, he joined Dancing with the Stars and eventually launched his grooming line business. The Polished Gent. In August, he and Grimaldi called off their engagement.
