Kim Fields made a discovery upon joining The Real Housewives of Atlanta. The former Facts of Life star openly admitted she has lost herself while becoming a mom and didn’t realize it until her conversation with Phaedra Parks.

“Now how in the world can you live without a girlfriend? Who do you tell your secrets to? Phaedra asks Kim in a preview clip released by People for Sunday’s RHOA episode.

“For me, I don’t have, you know, the hangout girlfriends,” Kim  says in the clip, adding she doesn’t get her nails done or go to the spa.

“Oh my god. Why? Are you kidding me? As long as I don’t look or smell homeless, I’m good,” the 46-year-old actress says. “I don’t have a Kim happy place for Kim. Other than my work, my kids, my husband.”

Phaedra shares how she found her happy places. “I didn’t marry young. I knew who I was. I knew what I liked to do,” she says. “I didn’t want to lose myself in my marriage and my kids. So, I get my nails done every week. I get my hair done every week. You gotta get that time.”

Kim, who has two sons with husband Christopher Morgan, claims she’s always on such a high from her family or work. She takes prides in her family and the fact that she’s a hands-on mom.

“But what about you being happy? What makes Kim say, like, ‘Oooh I can’t wake up to do X.’ What is X?” Phaedra  asks.

“Go to carpool? Make lunch?” says Kim, who could not help but be emotional. “I’ve lost myself and I didn’t know it until you just said that.”

“Okay, we’ve got to get you some new hobbies,” Phaedra  tells Kim.

“I don’t know where Kimmy is,” Kim says in a confessional. “Kimmy is not on the radar. And so I think having a friendship with Phaedra could be a really good start.”

In a previous interview, Kim said her experience on The Real Housewives of Atlanta is very “different” though not necessarily in a bad way. “This experience has awakened many creative voices in me. I love that I get to be me and not play a character. It has been an eye-opening experience to say the least,” she said.
