The ratings are in, and This Is Us made a huge impact following one of the least-watched Super Bowls in the past decade. On average, Super Bowl LII which saw the Philadelphia Eagles defeat the New England Patriots averaged 103.4 million viewers. That sounds impressive, but it's lower than the past eight Super Bowls. Last year saw 111.3 million viewers.

In fact, among the Top 10 TV broadcasts in the U.S., this year's Super Bowl barely makes the list in 10th place. It's behind the eight most recent Super Bowls and the series finale of M*A*S*H*.

But while the Super Bowl took a huge hit, the episode of This Is Us that aired afterwards did great. It scored 26.98 million viewers, which is the highest-rated post-Super Bowl program since 2012, when NBC aired the premiere of The Voice season 2. To be fair, that episode started at 10:15pm, while This Is Us didn't start until 10:45pm.

This Is Us is also the most-watched scripted show after the Super Bowl in a decade, since House in 2008. It did better than episodes of The Blacklist, Elementary, 24: Legacy, Glee, The Office and New Girl.

Here's a look at the 10 highest-rated U.S. television broadcasts of all-time, with this year's Super Bowl knocking off the one from 2009.
